Ooh, blimey, what, everything about me in this little box? Okay, let’s try. My name’s Nathan, I live in Devon in the south-west of England, and in no order I love cheese on toast, tea, the indoors, the outdoors, Jesus, self-indulgent trance music, ale, English, Russian, Jesus again (he gets two entries on account of being infinite; it seemed only fair) being part of church, walking, sitting down, dad-dancing, translating, playing the piano, Budleigh Salterton and Stephen Fry.
Hey there! Theresa P here – loving the blog – first one I’ve ever followed. I should be tidying or cooking dinner. Ne’er mind, eh?
what is “dad-dancing”? you like to dance with your kid? or you like dancing with your father? or is it the name of some really neat british band that hasn’t made its way to America yet? or maybe it’s an America band that was decidedly uncool so we dumped it in england, ha??? but seriously, what is that?
Hehe!! Neither – it’s when you dance like your dad. Try as you might, be you never so cool at 18, if you are are a white male (some would add “straight”, but I have met gay people who can’t dance) in my country, you will end up dancing like college-age-Ross-and-Chandler by the time you’re 25. Great to see you here, by the way!
Hello Mr N! Just discovered your blog! Had dinner at Rosie & Will’s last night, and she said you had one, and lo-and-behold here it is! Very nice it is too. Also just got your text and am a little confused…
hello x (that was Christine – she’s very tired cos she’s been working VERY hard allllll week).
Very cheery blog! It takes my American brain a little effort to translate! I work with Aussies and Kiwis and my Dad and grandparents and relatives on that side were all Scots/British, but still my little brain reels. Thanks and blessings!
Mary
Hello Mary Cooke! Nice to have you over. Thanks for pressing on even though the language and the cultural references can be a bit Brit-centric sometimes =o)
